Dipnetting the Kenai River...

I had my first experience Dipnetting on the Kenai River this year. For those of you who aren't aware, Dipnetting is fishing by netting them. It is subsistence fishing for residents of Alaska. Marc & I and our good friends Kevin & Angela and their kids had a fun camping/fishing/dinetting trip. It was a good time and we got SOOOO many fish. Actually 265 pounds of Red Salmon. Yummy. That is so much fish I can't even believe it. We are sending a good large shipment of the fish to our close friend Joyce in Missouri whom we miss dearly. (Joyce we love you and miss you so much. We think about you all the time and can't wait to see you again someday soon.) Anyway, I had to post some pictures of our fishing trip even though we didn't have a chance to take too many pictures.

THE GUT PILE...EWWW!

So, at the end of the trip, I was breaking down camp, and the tent and I had an argument...in the end the tent totally won. Check out my first shiner...this photo is actually not at my black eyes worst...it got much much darker, but I don't have photos of that...
