Ocean Time...

So, do you know those trips where you have such a fun time, you can only describe it as "magical" as nerdy as that sounds? Well, our trip to Seward two weekends ago was just that...pure magic. We took our boat out for some weekend fun and fishing and it was perfect. We anchored up in coves during the night to sleep, we fished, we relaxed...it was bliss. I LOVE THE NEW BOAT. If I knew we would have this much fun with it, I would have let Marc talk me into upgrading to a bigger boat sooner. (The only down fall was the "honey bucket" we had to use for the "unmentionables" down below...ewww. Marcus, I will never look at you in the same light.)

For two nights it was Marc, Marcus and myself. There was no set schedule, we did as we pleased, we fished, sang along to the 80's CDs, napped, drank, fished more, napped more, drank more...it was wonderful. We didn't catch many fish those first days, but it sure was fun. Actually, we didn't rightly care that we hadn't caught too much. We were just having fun relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.

Then there came Saturday...and Kevin showed up! Kevin is one of our dear friends...and all he wanted to do was fish - fish - fish! He broke the relaxing streak, made us work, travel, spend gas, lose weights, bate, snag bottom, fish -fish - fish. Now, in the beginning of Kevin's visit, I was a little thrown off guard...I mean...I was there to RELAX...what about my NAP...it was 10:00am, and wasn't it time for a Margarita yet??? While I was thrown off guard to begin with, Kevin became the king of fishing. He got us on all the fish, and we went home with quite the load! Thanks Kev for your help! We would have gone home nearly empty handed if it wouldn't have been for you.
